How To Add "Date File Created"

Why my psd files that are digital paintings have a Date Taken, I'm not sure (they don't come from cameras or scanners). Adobe does control the PSD file format and adobe decides what data to put in the file format. To sort by Date Created would help, because I will not have to switch back and forth between Explorer and Serato... Dates are confusing enough in exif and IPTC tags in still image files; only gets worse in MOV.
