Cannot See My External Hard Drive


I have tried all of the answers 'jack4rall' had wrote, and thank you for those, but it still does not work for my hard drive. but beneath it "not initialized" is shown.. I found a solution for my Hard Disk HP External Drive which was not showing up on Windows 7 64 Bit.   • The odd problem is this : My external 1TB seagate USB+ HDD 5400rpm works on laptops well.
  • If anyone of them is not there, do the following: 8.1 Click Add 8.2 Type the name/s of the user/s that is/are not there as mentioned in #7 separated by semi-colons
  • I then r/clicked >Device Status "this device is working properly".

Also the current PC works with different flash drives (1GB and 16 GB) in the """front USB""" well in windows XP but the extHDD won't work on front USB. The drive should then be recognized by other devices when you connect it to them. When I plugged it in for reinstall, it's now working on my devices. Refresh the view by using the refresh task.
