Reset the CMOS, on some motherboards this is a jumper on other it is a button, check your motherboard manual for details. Clearing the BIOS memory on your motherboard will reset the BIOS settings to their factory default levels. Since it is "freezing", it sounds to me more like a hard drive issue (even though bad hard drives can cause BSOD's too).
