oste0130Feb 28, 2012, 9:40 PM Out of curiousity, why would a clean install of windows bring memory issues to fruition? IF everything looks good, then turn it off, and plug the second RAM chip and turn it on and check. Changed the settings on the bios and then it started to load the OS. I'm extremely frustrated! Another BSOD that really doesn't point to a particular component...I'd go back to BIOS defaults and go from there. Then when I start using windows update, I get lots of bsod often. Setting are still at Optimized Default (f5 in the BIOS) and no BSOD. I've looked at tutorials on youtube regarding password removal but most of the options I've tried don't work and I don't want to risk turning the laptop into a paper weight.
