I have a pentium III computer (yes it is old but it's my desktop I dont use much) and it is nothing but a black screen, will not turn off and Also after I manage to get to that screen, I log in on any of the profiles and all I get is a window with all my folders and desktop icons, A common mistake is to plug the monitor into the on-board video plug when you actually have a PCI or AGP video card installed. I have been working on this issue for the last couple days with no success, been trying different suggestions from different sites. You will need to find out which drive your copy of windows is as the drive mappings might have changed, mine had moved to the D: drive. Be very careful not to bend any pins when dealing with your computer CPU. Lines appearing or flashing can sometimes occur, however sometimes nothing happens at all. we have a computer here to sign in packages… we are not supposed to go on the net… buuut..
